Action Alert: City Council MMJ vote

You CAN fight City Hall! Tell the City Council to send its ill-conceived marijuana ordinance back to the drawing board.

E-mail the Council today!

Esmeralda Soria, District 1 — The newest member of the City Council voted “yes” on March 26 and was appointed to the medical marijuana committee. Please ask her to vote “no” and to refer the bill back to committee. Contact link.

Steve Brandau, District 2 — Voted “no” March 26 without explanation. Ask him to state his concerns for the record.

Oliver L. Baines III, District 3 — Voted “yes” on March 26. Chair of the MMJ committee and council president. Ask him to explain why this ordinance is moving ahead now. Contact link.

Paul Caprioglio, District 4 — Voted “yes” on March 26 without comment. Previously supported total growing ban, as did the full council. Ask him to state his reasons for changing his vote for the record. Contact link.

Sal Quintero, District 5 — Voted “no” on March 26 without comment. Ask him to explain his vote on the record. Contact link.

Lee Brand, District 6 — Voted “yes” without comment. In 2014, he supported the total growing ban and also introduced a bill to restrict MMJ use. Ask him to explain his vote on the new ordinance. Contact link.
